The Club Showed Up

On Monday night, the Bear Gridiron Club held its first official get-together, and Bobby G’s was wall to wall with Bears. Over 30 club members showed up for pizza, wings, and a room full of people who care about Cambridge football. For a club that didn’t exist long ago, seeing that kind of turnout at our very first mixer says everything about where this program is headed.

What the Night Delivered

🎤

Coach Jones Addressed the Club

At 8:30, Coach Jones stepped up and spoke directly to the membership about the state of the program and what’s ahead this season. No filter, no middleman. That direct line between the coaching staff and the people funding the program is exactly what the BGC was built for.

A Packed House

30+ members filled Bobby G’s on a Monday night in July. That’s not casual interest. That’s a community showing up for its team before the first kickoff.

🤝

New Faces, New Members

Members brought friends who are ready to join, and conversations started that will turn into new memberships and grade-level ambassadors. The club grows one handshake at a time.

Momentum You Can Feel

The equipment wins, the 55-member milestone, a full room in the middle of summer — it’s all connected, and it’s all building toward the season.

Why It Matters

This Is What Membership Builds

Nights like this don’t happen because of one-time gifts. They happen because 55 members pay dues month after month — dues that fund the sleds, the bags, the benches, and the community standing behind the Bears. The room at Bobby G’s is what that commitment looks like in person.

To everyone who showed up, brought a friend, or asked how they can do more — thank you. This was the first mixer. It won’t be the last.
